This morning, I was lucky enough to be invited to the L’OCCITANE en Provence Australia media launch as a representative for Australian Traveller magazine – the perks of being an intern!
Held at the Sarah Cottier Gallery in Paddington, I was a little nervous when I arrived as everyone looked so professional and glamorous. I was warmly welcomed though and told to take a seat. Fortunately, I spot a space at a table of approachable looking young women who were so lovely and inviting that I immediately felt more comfortable. And as they were all journalists from an array of magazines, it was a great insight into the industry.
The event kicked off with a fancy breakfast from fresh fruit, muesli and yoghurt, to delicious pastries, tea, and coffee. The L’OCCITANE representatives then proceeded to showcase their anti-ageing Immortelle Divine Extract and Divine Cream products with an informative presentation.
Next up, we took part in a gardening session by planting L’OCCITANE’s trademark Immortelle flower inside a terrarium. This pretty yellow flower possesses a special relationship with time called “the immortal” because it never fades, even after being picked. Hence the anti-ageing properties in these products.
Finally, this wonderful morning had one more surprise – I was given a box of these products and more from their Fleur d’Or & Acacia collection worth around $500!
