Her Cup Of Tea

Hi, I’m Jemma. I grew up in Manchester, where I could count on one hand the number of times I left the North West before moving to Australia in 2007. That huge move was also my first trip overseas, and it opened my eyes to a much bigger world. I’ve been making up for lost time ever since.

After 5.5 years in Brisbane, 5.5 years in Sydney and another year back in Manchester, I’ve found my way back to Brisbane, where I’ve now been for seven years. These days, I’m exploring the city and its surrounds with my husband and our two little sidekicks: a five-year-old and a one-year-old.

Her Cup of Tea has been around for a long time, originally as a place to write about travel, food and the places I visited. Today, it’s a place to write about whatever interests me, whether that’s a Brisbane discovery, a weekend away, a good book, a memorable meal or something else entirely.

During the week, I work in digital content at Tourism and Events Queensland, and I also run High Cup of Tea, where I share some of Australia’s best high tea experiences.

This blog is where I get to write about things simply because I want to. I’m glad you’re here!
